The Vision, part 2

From the time I was a senior in high school I’ve had a passion for India, more specifically, I’ve had a desire to somehow advocate for children in oppressive situations. How does a kid living in The Woodlands, TX impact the lives of people she has never met? I carried this question, I prayed into this question, and I continued to cut up magazines and glue tiny letters together until the answer came.

I had never heard of International Justice Mission (IJM), but my church, Ecclesia: The Woodlands, began prayerfully and financially supporting people who were working with this organization in Calcutta. Their job was to get kids out of forced prostitution by working with local law enforcement and help in the process of rehabilitation. The story began to fit together, and I realized I could use my art to raise money and awareness to help these children.
